Simchat Torah: Remixed
Tuesday, October 14, 5:30pm – 10pm
At Chochmat HaLev
Join us for Simchat Torah, the Jewish season finale and season premiere in one night! We finish reading the last lines of the Torah and immediately roll back to “In the beginning” — traveling the spiral of Jewish time together.
We’ll start the night with an early kids program with our Latin-Jewish friends from Olamim and their new illustrated Torah from Venice with Spanish and Hebrew text!
We’ll then move into a soulful Maariv prayer service led by Lior Tsarfaty, followed by an immersive interactive ritual led by Rabbi Zvika Krieger and Rebecca Schisler, weaving mystical wisdom about endings and beginnings, sacred ecstasy, and experiencing the divine in our bodies.
The night culminates with a wild mystical dance party inspired by the seven lower sephirot (Divine emanations) with special guest DJ Yosef Rosen (perhaps the only DJ that also has a PhD in Kabbalah) and dance master Bruce Bierman!
Check out this video of our all-night Shavuot ritual for a taste of what to expect.
