PURIM LIKE IT’S 5782!

It’s back! Urban Adamah and B’nai Tikvah are proud to present: Purim Like It’s 5782!

Get your costumes ready and bring your silliest joyful self… on this night we will celebrate the brave people who stood up to tyranny, losing ourselves in its cast of characters, and then we will dance the night away.

We will kick off the evening with Irreverently Yours, The Shushan Queens, a musical cabaret-style reinterpretation of the megillah — full of sass, politics, comedy, parody songs, and feminism… all in rhyme! Written and directed by Urban Adamah’s own Kiki Lipsett, and performed by Shana Rappaport, Evan Gelfand, Brady Gill, Danny Yadegar, and a rockin’ crew of musicians, this show will be a raucous musical affair with whoops, hollers, and groggers sounding at every mention of Haman’s name. If the Book of Esther and Madonna had a child, it would be this hip, hilarious, true-to-tale (well, almost) story of your favorite Purim characters.

When our voices are hoarse and our hands tired from drowning out the H-word (Haman) with our groggers, we will dance ourselves silly into the night. Farm-made food and beverages will be provided! Wine and beer available for our 21+ guests.

To honor the Purim tradition of mishloach manot (giving gifts to those in need), we ask those who are able to bring a non-perishable food item to add to our Community Free Fridge & Pantry. The fridge and pantry are located on the Harrison Street side of the farm, but we will have a collection station at the registration table on our main entrance on 6th st.

Party Schedule:

6:00 – 7:00 PM: Family Purim Puppet Show w. Jen Miriam and Alon Altman (Please note, registration for the family portion of this program is separate. To join, please register here)
