Purim Like It’s 5783
The 14th of Adar is so much more than just the “Jewish Halloween.” Behind those masks you’ll find a holiday with as many facets as there are hamantaschen fillings. So get decked out in your fiercest looks and show us who you really are as Urban Adamah teams up with Chochmat HaLev, Kehilla Community Synagogue, Aquarian Minyan, and GatherBay for a celebratory interactive reading of the Megillah’s greatest hits. And when our voices are hoarse and grogger-hands tired from drowning out the H-word, we’ll dance the night away to the rockin’ tunes of Shamati!
Festival schedule:
7:00 – 8:00 pm Celebratory Megillah Reading (English + Hebrew)
8:00 – 10:00 pm Shamati and Dance Party!
This is a costume party, y’all! And in the spirit of awareness and respect, we encourage people to dress in culturally appropriate costumes. Not confident in assessing whether or not your costume is culturally appropriate and respectful? Here’s an article to get you thinking. This program is open to all ages but for youth between the ages of 0 – 7 we recommend joining us for our Purim Family Farm Festival on Sunday March 5th!

Please refrain from wearing fragrances or perfumes while onsite, unscented soaps are available in the public bathrooms.
