Contemplative Kabbalat Shabbat

Friday, August 15, 2025

In person and on Zoom.

Join Lior Tsarfaty and Julie Batz for a Contemplative Kabbalat Shabbat Service

We invite you into a sacred space to welcome Shabbat…an evening of reflection and connection where, together, we will weave a container of depth, intentionality, beauty, and mindfulness.

Childcare will be available with quiet activities!

All attendees must register in order to enter the service. If you’re planning to attend in-person, please register in advance to avoid the line.

If you’re planning to attend via Zoom, the link is here.

During service

Childcare is available. Please register so we know you’re coming!

After service

Please bring a delicious vegetarian contribution to our potluck oneg and schmooze with our beloved community!

Followed by HeartSpace at 8pm.

HeartSpace Details:  Sacred Improv: Torah on the Stage, with Brittany Berman + Zvi Bellin.
Join us for a playful, sacred experiment in community theater. Dive into the parsha (torah portion) of the week in small groups, explore its themes, then bring it to life with short improv-ish plays. We usually save this kind of holy mischief for 2am on Shavuot… but this time, we’re bringing it out of the shadows. No acting experience needed—just curiosity, creativity, silliness, and courage! Could this be the birth of the long-awaited Chochmat Players? Maybe!
Come help us find out…
