Circumcision, Uncut: Short Film Screening and Text Study with “Eighth Day” Filmmakers and Spiritual Leader Zvika Krieger

Join us to watch and discuss THE EIGHTH DAY, a Jewish comedy short film exploring circumcision and contemporary queer Jewish parenting. Filmmakers Jonah Weinstein and Gene Goldstein-Plesser will join Spiritual Leader Zvika Krieger for a no-holds-barred Q&A and text study of Jewish sources on history, consent, ritual status, sexual pleasure, gender, anti-semitism, and more!

About the film: Noah and Jonah are gay Jewish husbands and new parents to a baby boy. When Noah and Jonah’s parents arrive at their home expecting a traditional bris for their grandson, Noah and Jonah are forced to reveal that they had something very different in mind for their son: no circumcision.

Suggested Donation: $18-36

Feel free to bring your own lunch and snacks to share!
