Lior has gatherered up an amazing group of women to join him for a special Shabbat in honor of Women’s History Month.

Naomi Newman is a co-founder of San Francisco’s A Traveling Jewish Theatre, where she worked as playwright, director and actress for 34 years, winning awards in each field. Before that she sang on the concert-stage, acted in television and had a psychotherapy practice. In the late seventies and early eighties she was on the senior staff at The Center for the Healing Arts in Los Angeles, a pioneer in exploring the psychological and spiritual aspects of healing.

Jennifer Berezan is a visionary artist, activist and producer. Her work expands artistic boundaries, blurring the distinctions between musical styles, politics, and spirituality. She is a maestra of collaboration and makes music that changes how we experience ourselves and the world.

Laura Goldman is a Psychotherapist, Spiritual Director, and teacher of meditation and Mussar (Jewish spiritual practice of cultivating positive character traits). She has recently relocated to the Mendocino Coast, where she has discovered the profound healing power of the river – the silence, solitude, and spaciousness of which allow room for all things.

Melanie DeMore is a founding member of the Grammy-nominated vocal ensemble Linda Tillery and the Cultural Heritage Choir, and she has shared the stage with some of the world’s most notable musicians and political activists from Gloria Steinem, Odetta, Pete Seeger, and Judy Collins to Ed Asner, Holly Near, Ronnie Gilbert, and Ani Di Franco.

Yael Yechieli is originally from Jerusalem where she facilitated Israeli-Palestinian dialogue groups and worked with Israeli youth groups. For the past twenty years she has been part of the Israeli “Jewish Renaissance”, teaching Talmud and Jewish thought. She is one of the founders of Havaya an organization for the facilitation of alternative Jewish life cycle ceremonies.
