RAZA Mystical Song Circle with Chana Raskin

Join us for an evening of soul-deep, devotional communal song led by Chana Raskin in her first Bay Area event since the release of her path-breaking album KAPELYA, which features an all-women ensemble singing Chabad nigunim traditionally sung only by men.

This RAZA_circle will be a deep dive into the world of nigun (mystical wordless melodies), and a voice-driven improvisational listening project, where we’ll drop in to touch our inner voices and the healing power of collective song. Come as you are, and be embraced by the power of heart-opening melody and prayer.

This RAZA_circle is open to all. Please bring your heart and voice — this is an evening of collective song, not a concert or performance.

Free for members, $18 donation for non-members.

6pm – Potluck dinner and Q&A with Chana Raskin (outdoors)
730pm – RAZA Mystical Song Circle led by Chana Raskin
9pm – Tea lounge for integration and connection in community (indoors and outdoors)

This event is now sold out! To view our other upcoming events, visit https://chochmat.org/events-all/

Join us before the RAZA circle:
Come enjoy a nourishing potluck at 6pm, featuring a Q&A with Chana Raskin. Build and deepen community before the RAZA circle with Community Weaver Brittany Berman and Caroline Kessler from GatherBay. Bring a hearty vegetarian dish to share (please label ingredients).

Join us after the RAZA circle:
Relax into our cozy tea lounge from 9-10p for integration and connection in community

CHANA RASKIN, the founder and main facilitator of RAZA, is an untrained vocalist who grew up entrenched in the world of Chabad Hasidut and its stirringly complex melodies. These nigunim have carried her at every point on her journey. Her debut album KAPELYA was released by Rising Song Records in February 2023, followed by sold-out concerts in NYC and Jerusalem.
Leading the tea lounge, Laura Rubin is a certified Clinical Herbalist and Holistic Gut Health Coach, local to the Bay Area. Her passion is to promote holistic wellness for the mind-gut connection: focusing on digestion, stress, sleep, energy and hormonal health.  This is the second time Laura has brought her healing and nourishing tea to Chochmat and we are so lucky to have her!

She hosts many workshops including ancestral Jewish herbalism. Check her out here: www.nurtureguthealth.com or discover her teas at https://www.nurtureforall.com
