Location: First Presbyterian Church 2407 Dana St. Berkeley

10:00 AM – Contemplative Morning Service in the main Sanctuary.
Chanting, meditation, teshuvah teachings and contemplative prayer.
The service is designed to provide holy space and time for self-
reflection. The service is 2 hours long, and contains long periods of
silence that may be challenging for some children. See options for
children below which occur concurrently. Childcare is also available.
        10:30 am – Children’s Service with Jen Miriam Kantor
        11:30 am – Family Workshop
12:30 PM – Musical Torah and Musaf Service – including
participatory blessings and the inspiring music of our musical leaders.
There will be a special aliyah for the children.
3:00 PM – Afternoon workshops

  • Sanctuary as Accompaniment with Rabbi Lynn Gottleib
  • Sitting in the Presence of Body and Soul: The Practice of  Shmira – Chochmat HaLev’s Chevra Kadisha
  • Embodied Practice for Yom Kippur – Julie Emden
  • Non-Dual Judaism: Embodying the Presence – Kevin Morgan

4:30 PM – Yizkor – a time to remember those who have died.
6:30 PM – Neilah – the joyful culmination of our High Holy Day journey
