Mitzvat HaLev (Connect to the Heart) Program

Chochmat HaLev’s innovative B’Mitzva program for 6th-7th graders fosters learning and relationships for a life-long Jewish journey. We are enrolling for Fall 2024. In our program, students are steeped in Chochmat’s unique approach to Judaism, blending embodied and joyful prayer, connection with ancient texts and rituals, and deep progressive values. Families work together would our clergy team to design and prepare for a meaningful B’Mitzva ritual in community to mark this important milestone. Students develop life-long friendships through cohort-based learning. The journey involved opportunities for families to learn together, as well as experiences for parents as well. Torat HaLev (Path of the Heart) Program

This new and vibrant educational program will offer 3rd-5th graders an inclusive, creative and heart centered place to learn Hebrew, explore Torah, deepen into holidays, and engage in ritual. Our innovative take on a Hebrew School, the program will have experiential elements while also bringing children deeper into Jewish knowledge and wisdom. Infused with Chochmat’s unique approach to Jewish spirituality, this program will foster a nurturing and dynamic environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for Judaism. This begins in October and will likely be one Shabbat a month (during Chochmat Shabbat morning services) and two Sundays, but we’ll solicit perspectives from interested families and will select final dates based on your availability. You can sign up here. And for more information please contact: sam@chochmat.org

Chavurat HaLev (Friendships of the Heart) Program

This program is for families with kids ages 1-8 and meets monthly in a Chavurah (friend circle). We connect, learn, and share time with our kids and other grownups in the Chochmat community. Our creative educator leads a program for kids and families together, and then takes the kids for a separate activity so parents can connect and discuss rotating topics related to parenting, Judaism, and spirituality. We meet on Saturday 1x a month from 3:30-5:30. Each Chavurah starts with a six-month commitment and then groups can continue on afterward (or combine with our groups) For more information please contact: peter.a.arvai@gmail.com
