NA’ANUIM: Sukkot Shakeupdownandallaround
An Intergenerational Sukkot Experience for All Ages
With Rabbi Rishe Groner and guest musicians
Sunday September 27, 2026 – Day 2 of Sukkot
Na’anuim: Literally, “movements”: The multidirectional shaking ritual – upward, downward, northward, southward, eastwards westward, inward- of the Four Kinds, or “Arba Minim”: Lulav (Palm), Etrog (Citron), Hadas (Myrtle), Aravah (Willow) on Sukkot. Each movement leads from the heart with a grand shake three times. Traditionally performed during the Hallel “Songs of Praise” section of the prayer service, as well as when making the blessing of Raising the Lulav.
Join your community at Chochmat for an intergenerational Sukkot experience that weaves ancient water prayers into the contemporary urban landscape for an unforgettable embodied ritual.
Preorder, purchase or forage for your own Lulav & Etrog set, and join us for an hour of song-filled shaking, singing and processing around our Temple for the day.
