The month of Elul provides the opportunity to prepare our hearts for the coming year in an intentional way.  The tradition is rich in teshuvah (return) teachings — teachings that challenge and guide us in returning to our best and truest selves. 

What are our primary values and aspirations?  How will we focus our energies in the new year?  Are there concrete actions we need to take to bring ourselves into better alignment with our heartfelt intentions? 

CHL’s Meditation of Presence provides a supportive forum for contemplating these important questions and more, a place and a time for us to take teshuvah personally — yet in community.

Week by week, we will be focusing on the spiritual qualities — the middot — of truth, forgiveness, compassion, and awe.
