1. Urban Shtetl Family Programs on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur
Join our Youth and Family Program Director, Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb, for a taste of how sweet it is to build nourishing intergenerational community together. Connect with other families and engage with the themes of the holy days with dynamic ‘hands-on’ activities, musical prayer, master storytelling, family sharing and Yiddish and Sefardic dance!
Rosh Hashanah (Sept. 21): 11:00am – Make the sound of creation. Learn how to blow a shofar! If your family has a shofar, please bring it to this session.
Yom Kippur (Sept. 30): 11:30am — Pray with your feet! We are thrilled to be joined by Erik Bendix, a world-class teacher of folk dance specializing in Klezmer, Near East and Balkan dance. Erik will be dancing with families and youth during our Yom Kippur family program.
