High Holy Days

Celebrate with us

Join Us for Yom Kippur!

Join us for inspiring, transforming, joyful and heart-opening High Holy Day 5777/2016 services!  Our services include Jewish renewal-style prayer as well as traditional liturgy, meditation, joyful music, and inspiring words (drashot and kavannah) from our service leaders.  Pray, meditate, sing, and dance with Maggid Jhos Singer, Shlichat Tzibur Julie Batz, Reb Brian Schachter-Brooks, the Chochmat Musicians, and special guests, including Estelle Frankel. May you be inscribed for a year of blessing in the Book of Life.

Hineni – Here I Am – הנני

Our theme this year is Hineni. These High Holy Day services are a call to be fully present in body, mind, heart, and spirit.  As a conscious community we engage powerful music and prayer, joy and celebration, deep Torah and conversation, and the beauty of contemplative silence to plumb the depths of who we have been, who we are, and who we are yet to become. Join us.

All are welcome. Whatever your background, you will find meaningful and powerful ways to connect to yourself and each other. Chochmat HaLev membership includes free High Holy Day tickets. Become a member now.

Tzedakah and generosity

The High Holy Days are a traditional time to make financial donations to support and strengthen your community. Make a Holy Days donation or purchase leaves for our Yizkor tree to publicly remember your loved ones and donate in their memory. Each leaf on our handmade tree bears the name of someone being remembered, and stays on the tree through the coming year. We invite you to purchase leaves this year so our tree is once again full of our loved ones. Each leaf is $18.

Dedicate a High Holy Day prayer book/machzor – We have newly printed machzorim! It is a time-honored tradition to support the publication of a holiday prayer book through the purchase of dedications. Even if you have done it in the past, you may dedicate machzorim in honor of a living friend or relative, cause, or the memory of a loved one. A single dedication is $18.
