Setting Intentions for the New Year
Tuesday, August 6, 2013
Location: Chochmat HaLev
Sliding scale: $15-$30
Elul is a time for checking in with where we are at physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually… To see how are we measuring up to our own self-imposed desires for success in these areas. Elul is the month leading up to Rosh Hashanah… The birthday of humans. And being a birthday it is the time for reflection and setting new goals for the year ahead. What do you want to accomplish this coming year?
How was your past year? What did you accomplish? Where did you fall short? Did this past year live up to your expectations? How can you make this coming year even more in alignment with your highest desired outcomes?
We will focus on these questions in a 2 hour interactive session exploring how to be more fully present with:
- How to discover what blocks us.
- How to overcome these barriers to success.
By gathering with supportive community we’ll set our intentions for the year, using the month of Elul and each other as witnesses to help us clarify our goals and prepare to most optimally embrace the transformational experience of The Days of Awe.
We’ll be doing journaling, group exercises, movement, and meditation.
