The 6th blessing of the Amidah (daily prayers) is Selichah, which says “Forgive us Avinu, our Creator, for we have sinned; pardon us Malkeinu, our Sovereign, for we have transgressed – for Your nature is to forgive and pardon. Blessed are You who is called gracious and is exceedingly forgiving.”
This prayer reminds us to acknowledge our missteps and ask for forgiveness on a daily basis. We also find this in the Friday night liturgy and, of course, in the High Holidays liturgy, Avinu Malkeinu. Holding the distress of our mistakes holds us back energetically and spiritually.
In this class, participants will learn to identify and acknowledge missteps and release them using energy medicine, energy psychology, and sound healing techniques. Participants will have the opportunity to learn specific techniques, share with each other (for those who wish), and engage in self-reflection and journaling.
