In a fun and approachable class, learn Qigong movements and walking forms while exploring fundamental principles: grounding, whole-body movement, and a friendly, focused awareness. A dynamic meditation, Qigong uses attention, alignment, and tried-and- true postures and exercises to cultivate wholeness andhealth. Improve your resilience, balance, and stability. Increase your capacities for liveliness, creativity, and sense of connection. Movements can be adapted to accommodate different physical conditions. Open to all.
Molly Barker has trained with Chris Fernie, founder of the Institute for Internal Transformation in Berkeley, California since 2008. She has studied body alignment and healthy movement, independently and with many teachers, since 2003. From her many years as a practicing and teaching artist, she brings to Qigong a playful and searching mind.
