Are you feeling stressed? Do you have tense muscles? Are you tired when you’re awake and awake when you want to sleep? Qigong, with its gentle, mindful movement, can awaken a new sense of relaxation. With efficient alignment, your body will let go of chronic tension. By practicing with playful focus, you can discover ways to be both relaxed and alert. Easy, deep breathing may begin. Your nervous system can find balance, calm, and readiness.

Molly Barker has trained in Qigong and body mechanics with Chris Fernie, founder of the Institute for Internal Transformation, since 2008. She has studied body alignment and healthy movement, independently and with many teachers, since 2003. Currently a student in the Hanna Somatics practitioner program, Molly is also training for her teacher certification in Peter Wayne’s Eight Active Ingredients of Tai Chi. From her many years as a practicing and teaching artist, she brings to Qigong a playful and searching mind.

Qigong (chi gung) is a set of movement and meditation practices originating in China. It integrates awareness of body, breath, and mind to restore health and wholeness.

Hanna Somatics is a common sense mind-body training that helps release chronic tension and awaken new movement patterns.
