Jewish Journeys – The Exodus Experience – Family Learning Day

Join Urban Shtetl for a fun filled FAMILY LEARNING DAY!

Explore Exodus in song, story and Jewish games.

This is the first part of our FLD series on the exodus experience in Jewish tradition: Midwife Rebellion, Crossing the Sea, Receiving Torah, Wilderness Journey

What are the great journey stories of Jewish tradition? What is the spiritual meaning of journey in Jewish tradition?
Bring a journey story that relates to your family or personal experience.


10 – 10:30 AM Get ready to raise your voice in joyful noise with Benjamin Mertz, the music director of Joyful Noise Gospel Singers. He leads singers and non-singers alike in spirituals, civil rights songs and other music of the African diaspora. A special treat for CHL.





We will also begin work on the journey maze on the floor of the Metivta which is a maze, a game and a teaching mural.





Age appropriate programming for ages 4 – 7, 8 – 12 and their special adults.

Members of CHL: $30 per household with pre-registration. $40 at door
