Elul, the last month in the Jewish calendar, is traditionally a time for self-reflection and stocktaking, for making the gradual and lifelong turning toward Wholeness and Holiness. It is a time for the internal and interpersonal work of Teshuvah, a time to prepare for the depth and majesty of the High Holidays. Meditation can be a great aid and support in engaging this Elul process. During this month, our Wednesday morning sits will focus on building our awareness, intention, and openness to this process of Teshuvah – using the weekly Torah portion and the middot (character traits) as vehicles for our practice. Everyone is warmly welcome.
