Canceled & moved to Jan 10 – Chevra Kadisha Information Night
Tuesday, December 13, 2016 – 7:00pm-9:00pm
Location: Chochmat HaLev
As part of the Chochmat HaLev spiritual community, the Chevra Kadisha works with the spiritual leaders to assist our community members in Jewish practices relating to death, burial and mourning.
The mission of our Chevra Kadisha is to provide support to bereaved community members, including the traditional mitzvot of Taharah (ritual purification and dressing of the deceased) immediately following death, as well as serving as an educational resource for our entire community. We develop ritual, liturgy and practices that reflect our community’s values of Jewish Renewal, egalitarianism and mindfulness.
INFORMATION NIGHT (New Date): TUESDAY January 10, 7-9pm
Want to learn more about what we do and how we serve the community? Thinking of joining us? Please attend our info night. For questions or to attend please RSVP.
We meet regularly on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
