Commemorate the passing of loved ones with the Yizkor prayer during the service.\nAs part of the service, we’ll be exploring the mystical significance of the shofar as was sounded at Mount Sinai, and engage in a communal discussion on whether to blow the shofar when Rosh Hashana falls on Shabbat, as it does this year\n \nService will start promptly at 10:30 am — please arrive 15 minutes early to check in and be seated.\nThere will be no Kiddush this week.\nHarvesting Abundance Altar: Please bring an object for our community altar that represents what you are harvesting in your life, such as plants, flowers, fruits, or significant memorabilia.\n		\n			\n						Click here to register!\n					\n			\n						Click here to volunteer!\n					\n																										\n		Elizheva Hurvich has been an education director and a Jewish educator for several decades. She has worked for Kehilla Community Synagogue, The Contemporary Jewish Museum, the JCCSF, The Kitchen SF, Netivot Shalom, and B’nai Tikvah. With a Master’s in Jewish Art and Material Culture from the Jewish Theological Seminary, Elizheva is an artist who loves working with fabric, making custom tallitot and huppot. She lives in Oakland with her spouse and son.Kohenet Amanda Nube brings a wealth of experience as a Jewish prayer leader and ritual artist. Amanda received her Masters of Jewish Studies at the Academy of Jewish Religion LA. As a Jewish ceremonialist, mother, and educator, she is passionate about sharing her love of Judaism, Hebrew, music, and embodied spirituality.		\n																										\nCOVID ProtocolsOur new policy effective May 19th, 2023 is as follows:Chochmat HaLev, in consultation with our medical advisor and based on community survey results, will discontinue masking requirements for attendance at events.
