T’shuva is the power of evolution, a movement of soul, a yearning for wholeness.
In this class we will explore the illuminating insights of Rav Kook and the Kabbala into this power within. This class will include brief text learning, sharing and internalizing, and a meditation practice.
Rav Daniel Kohn is the rabbi of the Hassidic village of Bat Ayin. Over the past 20 years, as a Rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva, he has taught hundreds of students, uniquely combining the world of Torah learning, Jewish mysticism, and deep psychological insight, and has culled and developed effective techniques for personal and spiritual renewal. A talented musician and composer, Rav Daniel’s own spiritual path took him from Columbia university studies to ordination by the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. He has lectured widely throuhgt Israel, America and South Africa and recently hes founded Beit Midrash HaEitz, a center dedicated to learning, meditation and music. Rabbi Daniel is also an professional composer and clarinet player, who fuses traditional spiritual music with wide open improvisations and classical depth.
