The Joy of Jewish Dance

With Bruce Bierman

Through times of great celebration and even our most challenging trials, Jewish dance has been connecting community and invigorating our joyful zest for life since the prophetess Miriam first broke out with timbrels and dance. Join Jewish dance specialist, Bruce Bierman, and discover the beauty, force and rejuvenating medicine of this ancient dance form. Styling, gestures and footwork will be articulated with great care with an eye on the deeper meanings behind each expression. Participants will also experience meditative warm-up stretches based on the shapes and deeper healing messages of the Hebrew letters. No dance experience necessary. All ages and backgrounds welcome. Please wear comfortable shoes and attire. Special guest musician and composer–the extraordinary Lior Tsarfaty– will accompany with live music during our Hebrew Letter Poses!
