| A Message from Rabbi SaraLeya Schley:
“Only one thing I ask of You –
that I should dwell in Your house all the days of my life.”
Our theme this year comes from these words from Psalm 27 which we chant during all of our High Holy Day services. Led by our musicians and service leaders, and supported by staff and volunteers, together we create an abode for Divinity, a place of safety where the heart can open and we can experience spiritual renewal. When the Sacred is apparent, transformation is possible.
At Chochmat HaLev, meditation and deep engagement with sacred text are as integral to our practice as musical harmony and ecstatic dance. Our community embraces the spiritual practice of opening the heart to each other, creating a loving and non-judgmental vessel for us all to worship together. We share the highs of joyous moments and the depths of feeling and insight.
Join us for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur 5771, a time of communal celebration, personal introspection and universal renewal. Our House of the Divine becomes whole as we offer our unique gifts to each another.
I look forward to spending these Days of Awe with you. With blessing for Wisdom of Heart,
Rabbi SaraLeya Schley |
