Celebratory Kabbalat Shabbat —
Join us Friday evenings (first and third Friday
of each month) at 7:30 pm
for the celebratory welcoming of the Sabbath bride.
The services are led by Brian Schachter-Brooks, accompanied
by music director Cyrise Beatty and the Chochmat HaLev
musicians. Join our rich community to open your heart
and connect to the Divine through prayer, song and dance.
Family & Learners Shabbat — Join
Rabbi Brian Schacter-Brooks (on the second Friday
of each month) at an earlier time--6:30
pm for a service designed especially for those
who are new or returning to Judaism, beginners to Shabbat
practice, families with children, and those who need
an earlier, shorter service. This lively and interactive
service weaves Friday night rituals with prayer, song,
& storytelling for an engrossing and uplifting evening.
Boundary Crosser Minyan — Join
Lisa and Brian Schachter-Brooks (on the fourth
Friday of each month) at 6:30 pm
in this smaller, more intimate alternative to the larger
Kabbalat Shabbat service. It features chanting and singing
of the traditional liturgy, as well as insightful teachings
on the awakening of consciousness through Torah.
Contemplative/Chanting Service —
Join us Saturday mornings (first and third Saturday
of each month) at 10:30 am
for this meditative service led by community members.
It is designed for adults and combines both chanting
and silence in an alternating sequence to resonate with
your soul and connect with the Divine. (Occasionally,
these dates change. Please check the calendar to confirm.)
